Seth Tannenbaum gave a presentation on his new book, “Bleacher Seats and Luxury Suites: Democracy and Division at the Twentieth-Century Ballpark.”
Rob Sheinkopf discussed his two books: BASEBALL IMPOSTERS on the practice of grown men falsely claiming to have played major league baseball, and “Hey Mom, wanna have a catch?”, an anthology of baseball stories honoring moms and dads who put up with our lifelong, all-consuming obsession with baseball.
Rob’s comments… “Please excuse me if I seemed sleepy. I agreed to this assignment for a date when I thought I would be in Las Vegas, on Pacific time. I was in Florida, and for me, it was the middle of the night, way past my bedtime. Still, it was a great privilege to be with the esteemed Los Angeles SABR Chapter, for which I am thankful”.
